Where We Work

Volunteer

For over 25 years, Action Against Hunger has succeeded in providing effective and efficient assistance to millions of people lacking the basics - food and clean water - through the voluntary efforts of thousands. This voluntary spirit is essential to keep overhead costs low and ensure that funds raised get to the people who need assistance. Because of this long-standing commitment, ACF ensures that 91 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to our programs in the field.

ACF Volunteers have long played a key part in our ongoing activities - from organizing events and holding fundraisers, to providing personal contacts and securing crucial pro bono services for ACF, supporting administrative activities in our headquarters and assisting with public outreach, media solicitation, and campaign work.

How to volunteer

Action Against Hunger's volunteer needs often change throughout the year. Volunteers can work individually or in a group, in our New York office or remotely, at events throughout the country, or in their hometowns around the world. Please check our website frequently for updated volunteer information.

Please note that we do not send volunteers overseas, or sponsor anyone to work in the United States. If you are interested in applying for a field position with Action Against Hunger, please click here. Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to working with you soon!
